Trip Planning and Leadership
Get involved with the AMC! Our Young Members planning meetings are open to all, whether you have a trip in mind or not. We’re scheduling one soon, so please contact amc2005 at shearersoftware-dot-com to sign up.
Even better: earn peer-group admiration by becoming a leader or co-leader! If this is something you might want to try, contact us by email or come to a planning meeting. We can answer questions and get you started.
Boston AMC YM Trips
These aren’t Narragansett AMC trips, but your membership (or regrettable lack thereof) is good with the Boston chapter too. Sometimes you can even carpool there with someone from RI.
Saturday, April 23. Mt. Lafayette or Moosilauke, NH. [Trip rating: 5-9 miles, moderate pace, average terrain.]
Have fun in this spring warm-up moderate trip. Great views, no bugs. CL Bogie D, L Andrew Shearer.
Full trip listings are here. If you end up registering through Bogie, let him know you heard about the trip through the Narragansett chapter.
Non-AMC Events
Although not affiliated with the AMC, the Rhode Island People’s Ultimate League can still be a lot of fun. We’ll grant them that. The co-ed summer league starts in June, but beforehand they have pickup starting April 20 and a one-day women’s frisbee clinic on April 8. See their web site for details.
