As you know the Narragansett Chapter of the AMC operates with the efforts of many dedicated volunteers and after several years these volunteers step a side to give other members opportunities to serve the Chapter. At this time there are several volunteer positions that are opening or are open. Please reflect on the services that you have been receiving from our various leaders and consider volunteering for one or more of the following positions. If you have an interest in any of the positions, know someone who might be, or would like to serve, please contact Tom Eagan at tomeagan.amc@gmail.com or the listed contact.
Help, We Need You
The activities groups are always in need of new leaders to organize and run trips. New leaders usually have new ideas and bring fresh variations to our trips. A lot of our leaders have been shouldering trips for many years and could use a break. If you have participated in any of the activities you probably have observed what the the leader does. Almost anyone has the ability to become a leader. Some activities require more experience than others, as it takes more experience to lead a Northern Hikes trip than a biking ride. All the leader requirements are listed in the respective committee pages. Look in the top menu under 'Recreational' or 'Environmental' for the respective activities leadership requirements. So step up potential leaders, we need you.
